Let's Make Voting as Easy as Brunch Plans
What's in the template
Slide one sets up the comparison: a "Brunch Plan" checklist, fully checked off, next to an empty "Voting Plan" checklist with the same three questions, where, when, who. The visual gag does the persuading for you, most people can answer those three questions about brunch instantly and blank out the second they're about voting.
Slide two backs up the hook with a real number: 82 million eligible Americans didn't vote in 2024, more than the Democratic and Republican vote totals combined. The point isn't apathy, it's that life gets in the way when there's no plan.
Slide three turns the idea into an action, your event title, date, time, and place, so anyone scrolling past has somewhere concrete to show up.
How to customize it for your group
This template is built to travel well beyond one campaign or one city. A few things to swap in before you post:
Your event details on slide three. Whatever you're running, a voter registration drive, a canvass kickoff, a rides-to-the-polls meetup, drop the specifics into the date, time, and place fields.
Your logo, in the corner of slides one and two, so it reads as coming from your organization, not a generic template.
The stat on slide two, if you have a more local number. The 82 million figure is national. If your county or state elections office publishes local turnout data, swapping in a number closer to home can hit harder than a national stat.
Your caption, which matters as much as the design itself. A strong caption does three things: opens with a relatable hook, gives a reason to care (a stat or a stake), and closes with a specific, concrete action.
How Goshen used it
Here's how the Goshen City Democratic Party built their caption around this template for their own kickoff event:
We can plan brunch in ten minutes flat. Voting shouldn't take longer, it just needs a plan.
82 million eligible voters sat out in 2024, not out of apathy, usually just because nobody made it a plan. We're changing that in Goshen.
Bring Your People to the Polls Kickoff Party: October 5, 6:30 PM, Goshen Theater.

Notice the shape: relatable hook, a reason that raises the stakes, then one unmistakable action with a real date, time, and place. That structure is the part worth copying, not the specific words.
